Q: Are there additional charges related to the Serenity Plan?
A: Not from us. The plan does not include cash advance fees that may be charged
by other providers such as florists, newspaper obituaries, private cemetery
charges, death certificates, limousines, clergy honorarium, etc.
Q: Do we have to use one of the caskets featured in the plan?
A: No. Other caskets are available, some less expensive and some more expensive.
Q: In our place of worship, we usually have the funeral in a funeral home,
why is that?
A: Funeral Homes encourage the use of their facilities so they can charge for
it. Years ago, all funerals were held in places of worship or at the graveside.
Most clergy prefer their members use the church for the visitation and funeral.
Q: How do your prices compare to traditional funeral homes?
A: You'll typically save at least 50% and in some instances considerably more.
We encourage you to compare prices and quality of services provided.
Q: Why are your charges so much less than that of traditional funeral homes?
A: We do not have the overhead that traditional funeral homes have and we do not
have a board of directors or stock holders that we have to answer to. For
example, we utilize your church or fraternal hall for visitations and services
so the need for a large facility with a chapel is not required, thus saving your
family considerable expenses. Again, most ministers prefer this as a part of
their ministry.
